ENZARAD: Enzalutamide added no MFS or OS benefit over older antiandrogen with ADT/RT

In this phase 3 trial of 802 men with high-risk localized/locally advanced prostate cancer, adding enzalutamide for 24 months to ADT and radiotherapy did not significantly improve 8-year metastasis-free survival versus an older nonsteroidal antiandrogen given for 6 months (74% vs 72%, HR 0.88, P=0.34).

Why it matters: A negative phase 3 trial in a setting where other AR-pathway inhibitors (eg darolutamide) have shown benefit, underscoring that agents and regimens are not interchangeable.
