Cloquet's node identified as dominant site of lymphatic leak causing lymphoceles after RP

Prospective · J Urol · 2026-10-10. Number 4 in the UrologyWatch Top 5 for October 10, 2026.

In a prospective single-center study using lymphangiography in 40 patients with symptomatic lymphoceles after prostatectomy with pelvic lymph node dissection, 98% of leaks originated at Cloquet's region, though this node is rarely metastatic.

Why it matters: Suggests a Cloquet-sparing dissection technique could reduce lymphocele morbidity without compromising oncologic control, pending prospective validation.
