Disitamab vedotin plus tislelizumab tested in unresectable HER2-positive NMIBC

Prospective · JAMA Oncol · 2026-10-09. Number 3 in the UrologyWatch Top 5 for October 9, 2026.

In a single-arm, open-label phase 2 trial of 28 patients with transurethrally unresectable, ERBB2 (HER2)-positive very high-risk NMIBC ineligible for or declining cystectomy, disitamab vedotin plus tislelizumab was evaluated for complete response of high-risk disease as the primary endpoint, with secondary endpoints of response duration, PFS, OS, and safety.

Why it matters: Single-arm phase 2 data suggest a possible nonsurgical option for very high-risk NMIBC patients unable or unwilling to undergo cystectomy, pending confirmatory studies.
